Happy Pride Month!

I’m taking some time off this month to celebrate my birthday by hitting the beach. And that also means a small break from writing and art, but I tend to brainstorm a ton of new ideas and concepts while I’m away. I can’t wait to show you all what I’ve been working on one day!

Fire in Flight Updates

Fire in Flight is currently looking at a Spring 2026 release! It’s going through another set of eyes before publishing. As of now, I’m looking at setting up a Kickstarter in the Fall, and I’ll be looking for some people interested in joining the book’s street team (as well as ARC applications closer to wintertime).

Writing Tip - Give the Protagonist Flaws

When writing a book, many writers struggled with giving their main character flaws. Why? It’s because they’re too afraid to make their protagonist unlikable.

But you know what’s even worse than a protagonist with too many flaws? One that makes no mistakes at all. Perfection can ruin a story. A character who makes mistakes is relatable. Show their growth and development. You can’t develop a character if they have no flaws to improve on.

So, have their flaws reflect their main conflicts (whether it’s man vs self or man vs man). Give your protagonist something to fight against, and prove that they’re a worthy character for the story to follow.

Flaws add depth to your characters and story. Readers want to root for your protagonist to get better and overcome their greatest mistakes.
